Hollow Lantern
★★★★★ 4.6
Hollow Lantern is a narrative adventure that trusts you to pay attention. You explore a quiet, slightly wrong town, piecing together what happened through notes, objects, and conversations. The atmosphere is thick without ever tipping into cheap jump scares.
Puzzles are integrated into the world rather than dropped in as arbitrary locks. Most of them made me stop and think for a minute, then feel clever when the solution clicked. Nothing here is unfair, though a couple of moments benefit from taking notes.
It's a shorter game, maybe six hours, but it's paced so well that I never wanted a filler stretch. A great pick for an evening or two when you want a story that gets under your skin.
